“Life is not about how
fast you run or how high you climb, but how well you bounce.” –Vivian Komori
If life is indeed a game,
are you taking care of the ball? Do the
daily stressors of life have you bouncing off the wall or are you on a roll?
It’s human nature to
want to be bigger, better, and faster—yet even the fastest runner can fall and
fail to get up. But those who bounce right back when they’re down have learned
that true success is determined by perseverance. When Thomas Edison was asked
about his many failures in inventing the light bulb, he replied, “I have not
failed. I have just found 10,000 ways
that won’t work.”
So if you’ve dropped
the ball in some area of your life, whether it’s your job, relationship, or
that New Year’s Resolution to get in shape, don’t hang your head in shame and
retire to the bench. Life is not a spectator sport. Participate.
Learn to roll with the
punches. Bounce starts with a ‘Be’—so,
let it. It’s time to get back in the game.
The ball’s in your court,
Gina J
