“Only the hand that erases can write
the true thing.”
-Meister
Eckhart
Long live the eraser.
An eraser was first added to the top of a pencil in
the late 1700s, but wax and even pieces of bread were previously used to remove
unwanted lead or charcoal marks on paper.
As long as there have been people, there have been mistakes.
As the author of your life story and fellow human
being, you may need to use a little Wite-Out once in a while. But it’s worth it to live authentically. Living half the truth is living a whole lie.
It’s not always easy to be honest with yourself. James Garfield said, “The truth will
set you free, but first it will make you miserable.” The
option, however, is to spend your life being true to a lie.
Nobody wants to follow The Worst Policy. Don’t be afraid to do a bit of editing within
the story of your life. Start a new
chapter.
Get real,
Gina J
